Getting Rid of Past Negative Emotions





Well we all have issues to deal with from our past, don't we. If you said "no" then you've just successfully pushed them down out of the way. Never fear, they will come back in one form or another, but it is generally better to deal with them or else you may get serious health problems later on.

The way I have found most effective in dealing with them is visualization. I gave a small visualization in white lighting. If you're now saying "but that was just my imagination" then you are sort of correct. However, as the human mind if frequently underestimated, it is not well known that we can influence our surroundings and ourselves by the way we think, and what we think. The 'power of positive thinking' is now very well known, but so few either believe it or understand it. The way we think does influence our daily lives. If you think you will have a bad day, you will. If you think you are happy then you are.

To get rid of past emotions, and these include the snide remark made to you only half an hour ago, we use visualization. As every part of us is interconnected (as is shown now doctors accept that stress, a mind problem, can affect our body health), we can also use our mind to heal our emotions, and even our bodies.

When first learning this method, I advise finding a solitary place, with quiet. Eventually you will be able to do this anywhere necessary. Close your eyes, and picture the hurt, pain, anger, hate, whatever, inside you. Deep inside your belly. It may take the form of a deep well, with a liquid inside or a ball of light. Look at it. What colour is it? What texture is it? Feel the emotions there. Then picture then rising slowly up, inside you. Rising slowly until they come out of your open mouth. Them 'see' them/it descend into your open palms. Look at it. Realize it is the emotions about what happened, but don't feel them any more because they are now outside your body. Then slowly open your hands and 'see' them travel down, down, into the earth beneath (maybe even 'seeing' them travel through the floor/s). 'See' them slowly dissolve into the ground until there is nothing left of them. Then open your eyes.

Many people feel better straight away, but sometimes it is important to do it several times on the one thing. Especially if the pain/anger has had a long time to fester and build up. The same visualization can be used for anything you wish to release.
